How do I upgrade the 4gb ssd in my asus eeepc 9. Hi again! It seems you are right. You do have 2 SSD, one of 4 GB and other 8 or 1. GB (depending on model). However, if you plan to replace internal 4 GB SSD, I am afraid you will need to disassemble the whole eee PC to be able to get to the motherboard. What I can see from the specifications, it says it is permanently soldered to the board so maybe it would be a better idea not to try it unsolder. However, you can replace your second SSD with a larger capacity and install operating system on that one. All you need to do is set second SSD to be 1st boot device in BIOS and eee PC will boot operating system from that SSD. Then you can delete operating system from internal SSD (4 GB) and use it for saving personal data. Or, you can replace 2nd SSD with a hard disk drive and set it as 1st boot device and install operating system on it, as well.
